American Safety & Health Institute Basic First Aid
This is a nationally recognized program that meets the OSHA standard for first aid training.
First Aid covers the immediate response to an injury or illness and the first few minutes of care.
Objectives:
Assess, Alert, Attend
Calling 9-1-1
Good Samaritan laws
Universal Precautions
Bleeding Control
Treatment for Shock
Treatment for Burns
Muscle and Bone Injuries
Head, Neck, and Spine Injuries
Recognition of Sudden Illnesses
Diabetes
Asthma
Seizures
Allergic attacks
Poisons
Frost Bite and Hypothermia
Heat Exhaustion and Heat Stroke
Immediately upon successful completion of this training, the participants will receive an American Safety & Health Institute course completion card
with a suggested retraining date of three years.
